Forestry Grant Schemes and Plant Health
The Forest Service not only plants and manages woodland in the public estate under its control, but also helps the planting and management of privately owned woodlands.
We do this through the payment of grants to help landowners plant and manage their woodlands.
We also play a key role in protecting the health of Northern Irelands forests and woodlands by controlling the import of timber into Northern Ireland and ensuring no foreign pests and diseases, which could harm our trees, can become established in this country.
