This page tells you what forest planning is and how you can contribute to the forest plans that are being prepared.
Forest planning helps us to ensure that the future of our woodlands will continue to provide the balance of timber production, environmental enhancement and social enjoyment for the next generation, in accordance with Government policy. We manage our woodlands sustainably and are certified under the United Kingdom Woodland Assurance Standard.

We break down our planning work into five-year periods. The beginning of a five-year planning period is a great opportunity for you to let us know what you think of our management intentions for our woodlands. We would welcome your comments on these.

We are currently looking at the forest planning for the woodlands listed and the links below give more details of the management intentions and details on how to comment.
This consultation period will close on Friday 20th May 2006.
