Native Woodland Definitions & Guidance Booklet
Establishing new areas of native woodland in the landscape, and planting native trees within established forests, will protect native woodland habitats and species. Planting new native woodland can create links between isolated woods, increase their resilience, and provide opportunities for colonisation by native woodland flora and fauna.
This booklet from the Northern Ireland Native Woodlands Group is intended to inform and advise those with an interest in native trees and native woodlands.
